“Use your power on me,” he told Wei Ying. “Ask me what I want tonight.”
Wei Ying studied his eyes, then nodded. His hands still spanned Lan Zhan’s hips. He took in a slow breath, and as he breathed out, Lan Zhan felt it—a sparkling, tumbling rush of magic that raced through him like a spring downpour. It knocked down barriers and whisked off the heavy cover that had sheltered and oppressed him all his life. Words of truth swirled easily to the surface, like floating petals.
“What do you want tonight?” Wei Ying whispered.
“I want to kiss you,” Lan Zhan said. “I want to touch you. I want you to touch and kiss me.” It felt so good, this magic. It was the most exquisite freedom. Why had he ever feared it?

Twenty years ago, as friends in college, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying hooked up one magical night. Now Lan Zhan is a music professor in Oregon, and Wei Ying is a world-famous Broadway star in New York. They haven’t seen each other since graduation, but neither has ever quite gotten over the other. So when Wei Ying comes back to Lan Zhan’s town to sponsor an arts-a-thon fundraiser…cue the second-chance romance!

“Stop being so clumsy, Poor-gege,” A-Yuan huffs as he impatiently tugs at Jingyi’s hand.
Lan Jingyi relents himself to being dragged again, however not without narrowing his eyes at the little boy.
“Just because I’m not your Rich-gege doesn’t mean I’m poor,” he mumbles under his breath.
A-Yuan gives a shrug and hums noncommittally,
“If Poor-gege says so.”

Summary
