Summary
The Xianzhou Alliance in that era was just a collection of ships, a fleet always on the move, searching for the miracle of immortality. Although Cinder was merely a small child at the time, it was that migration throughout the galaxies that intrigued them, never wanting to be ‘stuck’ in one place.
It wasn’t for many years following until one of the earlier Astral Express crews made a stop to the Xianzhou Alliance. Approaching one of them cautiously, they asked to become one of the Nameless too.
The Nameless never refuse, and Cinder boarded with barely a look back behind them.

Caitlyn froze, both pistols wavering in midair, then lowered with a stunned expression. She took in the yellow eyes, the hulking red fur, the sarcastic tone, and all at once she was assailed by memories - of running in the fields outside of Piltover, lying on her back in the green rolling hills, cheek to cheek with a stout, fit teenager with eyes like ice and a mouth that spelled out trouble.
“Vi?” Caitlyn asked.
