“Do you understand?” Katsuki hisses, trying to make sure he comprehends the severity of what almost happened here. “They were going to fucking kidnap you and cut you up into tiny little faerie pieces to sell to whoever will pay the highest price for your shitty magic blood.”
The faerie looks a ridiculous mix of stunned and disbelieving, like Katsuki’s making it up. Which, to be frank, he very much isn’t.
“Go back to wherever the fuck you belong and stay away from bars on this side of town.” He leans closer and jabs at the same spot again, relishing in the way the faerie’s eyes have gone big. “Got it?”
“Got it,” the faerie echoes, faintly. From where they poke out through the wispy bits of hair that frame his face, it’s obvious that the tips of his pointed ears are pink again, visible even in the dark. Something about it makes Katsuki scoff to himself, agitated for noticing.

Or, Shouto forcibly befriends a hermit, Katsuki leads a search and rescue, and they both fall in love.

Summary
Anxiety is a grumpy college student living in a crap apartment that’s haunted by the recently murdered Roman Xande—except neither of them know that bc Roman has no idea why or how he got to be there.
Patton is a new counselor and Logan is a teacher in training, shadowing the psychology teacher respectively. The three become unlikely friends (on accident, naturally) and when Anxiety invites them to his apartment, he ends up introducing them to the ghost. The only reason he hasn’t left is because it’s semi-decent, the rent is cheap, and no one else wanted it—claims of it being haunted. He didn’t believe until he stumbled upon Roman one day and he never left.
This all turns into a murder mystery bc why not
