Olruggio's frozen expression suddenly twisted in surprise, before darkening rapidly. His hand shot out to grip Qifrey around the wrist, as if worried he would make a run for it.
Qifrey suspected he had miscalculated his approach.
Or, Qifrey is hired as a nanny by his best friend, a decade after abandoning him in pursuit of the trafficking group that stole his eye and memories. It works out better than expected.

Summary
It is a deeply instinctual breed of terror, born in that yawning chasm between what her mind has forgotten, and what her body knows. The pain in her bones, the ache in her arms— those things are familiar. Like she's felt them before. But everything else… no, there is nothing else.
Faster than she can blink, the idle thought that something is missing quickly becomes the sickening realization that something is wrong. The girl chokes on her next breath as she lurches upright, ears pinned back against her head. The blankets fall away. Frantically, she scans the room again and again, desperately searching for the smallest hint of context. The panic builds.

Summary
Qifrey dragged his fingers across the surface of the spring, watching the other nymphs splash each other and laugh as they bathed. He’d never been one to join in on their fun, and given his recent revelations to the group, he felt even more isolated than before.
A few drops of water hit his face, and more laughter roared from the group.
“Stop! The satyrs will hear us!”
“Oh, let them come, it’s been ages since I’ve had a good ravishing.”
“That won’t happen with him on the bank.” One nymph sneered. “Qifrey! You’re scaring off the men!”
Qifrey closed his eyes and rolled to face away from the spring.
“What satyr would want a man nymph anyway? Or is it just an excuse for having not been caught yet?”~~~
Olruggio thinks he's broken, a satyr finding no attraction to any nymph. He meets an unwanted nymph named Qifrey, and they decide pretending to chase each other around the forest will help both their reputations. Qifrey immediately falls for Olruggio before even suggesting this perfectly reasonable plan.

Iguin sits atop a pristine gold dome, a false sun ever-presently dawning. Shadows no longer tethered to their bodies flicker below on beautiful mosaic pathstones. Keys play childish, discordant notes, and he sways even as they play backwards. Should forbidden magic have been truly forgotten, he'd never have been able to marvel in its splendor. Nor would he be able to show this splendor to others.
"City of Ma'habre, your world is a delight," He holds his palm up to the golden clouds that forever stay in place, as if petting the dungeon itself. "What a playground you have given me and my pupil."
or: In a new plan to teach Coco the ways of magic, the forbidden magic users teleport her (and by accident, a majority of her atelier) into the Dungeons of Fear and Hunger, all split up across the wide expanse of underground levels. Incidental and accidental, something from the dungeons was sent over to Zozah, too. Everyone changes, one way or another.

Sericea was not born into this world, and yet the fate of its occupants lies heavily on her shoulders. It didn't take long for her to learn that no one was coming to save her.
