Deprived of him and his touch for too long, he needed some more time, regardless of how much Ian was willing to give him. He needed to be recharged, the flame inside him had long since dimmed and was aching to be lit again, “Please?” he spoke softly. Any person in his situation who had absolutely nothing to lose wouldn’t be afraid to beg, and neither was he, “Please stay.”

"DON'T FUCKING TELL ME WHAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!"
Fiona froze, Debbie jolted, and even Mandy looked taken aback by his emotional display. Their shocked looks quickly faded though, and were replaced by near-identical expressions of pity.
This might have infuriated Mickey if he had room to feel anything besides the panic and desperation currently flooding him, which likely came across as anger anyway.
He jabbed a finger at the eldest Gallagher sibling. "We're taking care of him HERE; you, me, us! He's fucking family."

No one believes that Mickey is capable of caring for his bipolar boyfriend, and he is determined to prove them all wrong. They'll put Ian in a nuthouse over his dead fucking body.
