Summary
Taylor Hebert doesn't get powers from a locker. She gets them years earlier, on a subway platform in New York—alongside three strangers who should never have shared a moment, let alone a bond. By the time she returns to Brockton Bay, she's a masked vigilante with a spear, two unusually talkative ravens, and a reputation built on myth and misdirection. She doesn't plan on running into Lily again. She definitely doesn't expect to find herself back in her old best friend's orbit.
But the city's quieter than she remembers, and the streets don't feel safe anymore. Something's changed. The Empire is moving in daylight, the PRT is watching from the shadows, and Taylor’s past—the messy, violent, beautiful parts of it—is starting to catch up. Sometimes, being a hero means taking off the mask. Sometimes, it means putting it back on.

Summary
Victoria Dallon is finally starting to find stability in her life. She's put her shitty family behind her, she's recently been promoted to the role of Junior Detective, marking a significant milestone in her career, and her firefighter boyfriend has recently proposed. However, beneath her seemingly serene existence, Victoria carries the weight of hazy, indistinct dreams that have plagued her since childhood. Dreams that led to an endless barrage of therapists and a deluge of pharmaceuticals that she's only recently pried herself out from under.
On her first case after a promotion, Victoria meets Taylor Hebert, an alternative artist with a penchant for tattoos, piercings, and a nasty smoking habit, who has narrowly escaped a harrowing attempt on her life by an Serial Killer. Little does Vic know that she, too, has been plagued by mysterious dreams of a decaying world populated by superheroes and villains. When they meet, a powerful connection forms between them, transcending the boundaries of their individual realities. As they delve deeper into their shared experiences, they realize that their dreams are not mere figments of their imaginations but echoes of another life, a life that seems both surreal and poignant.

Summary
Taylor Hebert had little idea that when she broke down sobbing in her father's arms two days before Christmas that he'd actually be able to help, that he'd be able to ensure that the monsters that had been bullying her were punished. She'd also never expected that this might actually result in things getting worse for her. So bad in fact that her father swallowed his pride and reached out to the one person in the world that he thought he'd never have to interact with ever again. This is the story all about how Taylor Hebert ended up leaving Brockton Bay one windy January afternoon, and the ripples that would wash outwards from her arrival in a city far larger and more daunting than the crumbling wreck that she'd left in her wake.

Summary
Taylor Hebert knew the rules she'd read on the Toybox forums by heart. Don't shop at the same stores, don't spend money that you can't account for, don't let them place you in a pattern. But the cold that she'd had was kicking her ass, and she just needed to get things done. Part of her had been skeptical, could a single misstep really cost her that much? Little did she know that this single, innocuous action would end up saving her life, and placing her in the path of someone that would have a profound effect on said life. The question was if the effect was a good one or a bad one.
