Summary
Geralt tries not to interfere with human affairs, but when he sees an innocent young man about to be sold into sexual slavery for a year as punishment for a crime he didn't commit, he decides to buy him instead. Geralt intends to let the man go as soon as they are out of the town, but instead the two of them are magically bound together. If they get too far apart for too long, the man will die.
So it seems Geralt is to have a travelling companion, at least until the year is up or they can find a mage willing to undo the spell. If the situation weren't bad enough, the man simply won't stop talking and singing.
Geralt has no intention of taking advantage of a man in no position to refuse. He is not going to have sex with Jaskier while they're still bound together. He just wishes Jaskier would stop being so damn distracting.

Surprisingly (I was expecting bandage based on the premise), in-depth character studies with some monster fights thrown in. Some UST and touch deprivation. Well told story, very enjoyable.

Geralt remembers stumbling back to where he’d left Roach to graze, feet unsteady and vision swimming. He remembers rifling through the saddle bags with clumsy fingers, fumbling with the vial of antidote and nearly dropping it twice before he’d finally managed to pull the cork free with his teeth.
He remembers;
Leaning on Roach when his knees had threatened to buckle.
Sucking in too quick, wheezing breaths.
Lungs burning.
Limbs growing heavier and heavier and—
And then.
Nothing.

Summary
Kukri kept sending me media about “Robbing the Hood” and telling me to watch it, that I’d understand what was going on better if I did, but I had no interest in watching people rob Hoods, whatever those were. I didn’t like robbing in real life (I did it because I had to not because I wanted to) and I doubted I’d like it in media.
Shortly after hacking its governor module, a rogue SecUnit is involved in an ill-fated space battle and finds itself alone save for the company of a mourning raider ship bot pilot. It would like to spend the rest of its life watching media in what remains of the ship's crew quarters, but it turns out that "the rest of its life" wouldn't be long at all without the money to pay for proper maintenance. There seems to be only one way to get that money.
