Adaptability was one of the key traits necessary to ensure one's survival in the Metaverse, and - Ren really didn't mean to brag but - adaptability just so happened to be a quality he possessed in spades.
So before stepping across that threshold, he made sure to steel himself, ready to bear witness to whatever laid on the other side, no matter what form it took.
But somehow, a beach had not been on his list of expectations.
The Nav appears once more, only this time, instead of taking the Phantom Thieves to the Metaverse, it forces them into another dimension entirely. Finding themselves stranded and scattered in this alternate world, the Thieves must work with new allies to find a way back to one another, and to eventually return home.

This has to be some kind of hidden camera show, Akira thought. But he didn’t see a TV crew, or anything else for that matter. That was what stood out to him the most, the fact that nobody was paying attention to the wild bunny boy in their midst. He watched as the boy stuck his tongue out at a businessman and waved a gloved hand in front of a college girl’s face. Neither of them reacted. It was as though Akira was the only one who could see him.
