Summary
Max couldn't find his way, constantly returning to what he saw, to what life he could have led if not for Red and Chloe's time travel. However, he also knew that the price of reversing this state of affairs would be the suffering of all of Wonderland, so he believed he endured this "new life" for the greater good.
Finally, however, he couldn't bear it any longer and asked Red to talk. He wanted to know, to understand, not to go mad like his father!
And Red was growing increasingly distant from Louis, who, despite his sincerest attempts, never fully understood her... dual identity. Ultimately, no one but Red, Chloe, and Max knew that Red had originally found her place among the VKs.
