The souls of Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto (respectively) became aware of their reincarnation cycle while they were Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto. Some of Sakura's personality and memories stick despite the cleansing between lives and lifetimes, giving Pepper a bit of a headstart with the whole ass-kicking business.
(Without this, Pepper would have kicked just as much ass as Sakura before her-- and Mito before Sakura, and so on for the entirety of her soul's existence-- but. In all those lifetimes, she wasted a ridiculous amount of time figuring out who she was and how to kick ass and, even, whose ass to kick. This way is better.)

It all started on Izuku's 18th birthday, the day that he apparently decided to speedrun going from All Might's perfect quirkless and soon to be quirked successor to homeless horny trans disaster and certified ghost whisper in under a month.
It wasn't his fault that his Mom threatened to kick him if he didn't stop pursuing Heroics, just because he had been absent all the time trying to save and be there for his new purple poltergeist friend that practically lived in his brain now. At least the school Hitoshi haunted was abandoned for the summer and free to live in for now as he continued training with the number one hero. Izuku also made a lot more friends too, even if Dabi had an arson problem and the rest were also on varying wrong sides of legal.
It was great. He had a job talking to ghosts because of superstitious villains. Ghost sex was also an amazing bonus.
Until his period started.
And he had ran straight into his best friend Himiko, who could smell it. Because she was practically a vampire.
At least Izuku's mistake led to him having mind blowing sex with someone who had a pulse, even if all three freshly legal teens are idiots who haven't realized they're already dating.

Midoriya Izuku had a quirk. Too bad that it was slowly killing them. Since their diagnosis, they knew that it would be a miracle if they could live to the age of 18. Their dream of being a Hero was crushed because they wouldn't live long enough to attend U.A. University. Life was cruel, and it was even crueler when their mother was murdered by Endeavor, just because she was standing on the wrong side of the street. Izuku's sperm donor left them at the orphanage without a single regret.
The only good thing about eir curse of a quirk, a stockpile type that he "fed" and derived vitality from that stored a completely unknown mineral or energy type, was that they could switch their sex whenever they wanted. It hardly used any energy at all, perfect when they didn't know what they needed to feed their quirk and keep themself alive. At least they never had to worry about dysphoria.
But now, they're 17. On the very edge of their short life, alone with no one around to mourn them when they never woke up one night. At least, that was until Hawks dove into their life and saved them from a villain attack that happened in the random alley they had been sleeping it. Now, the silly Hero thought he could save Izuku from fate.

He was on his way to being a Hero with only his wit and his tech! Without any quirk!
