“You know I’ve always been a light sleeper,” Caitlyn answered. Deflecting.
“You’ve never passed out at work before.”
“I told you, that case…”
Vi pressed her finger to Caitlyn’s lips.
“Bullshit. It’s because of me, isn’t it?”

Viktor didn't believe in soulmates. He thought it was something for the rich and the wealthy. Not for people like him.
Despite these conflicting ideals all four had been born with soulmarks so they knew one way or another meeting their soulmate was a possibility. But they never expected to meet them at the induction ceremony at their new school.

“Don’t you think it’s time?” Vi asked.
She did. Caitlyn really did. And she knew the longer they waited the further apart in age this hypothetical second child would be from Lavender.
The kitchen was quiet for a moment. This wasn’t something that would be solved tonight, and likely not within the next few weeks. There were so many moving pieces to this, they couldn’t rush into this. They both knew that.
Finally, Vi braved a different question, perhaps one she should have started with. “Do you want another—”
“Yes.” Caitlyn was quick to answer, uncrossing her arms as she met and held Vi’s gaze.
She was certain. She knew what she wanted, she just wasn’t sure if she was ready.

Seven years after the conflict with Noxus, Vi feels it's time to expand their family of three to four. Her heart still plagued with memories of her sister, Vi wants her daughter to experience the same bonds she shared with Jinx. Caitlyn isn't sure if now is a good time. Between their work as enforcers, it's work enough looking after one child, much less two. And they both still have skeletons hiding at the back of their closet, their wounds still had yet to completely heal.
