He was the only ‘mudblood’ in his Year and it was like a metaphorical kick-me sign on his forehead. The ponce, Draco Malfoy, especially liked feeding his superiority complex by pushing him around. But Tim didn’t think much of his attempts at intimidation (or anyone else’s, for that matter). He and Draco had grown up under roughly the same financial situations, but judging by Draco’s overall propensity at being a brat, his mother wasn’t anywhere near as scary as Janet Drake.
Tim didn’t care one bit about the hierarchy and power plays of Slytherin house.

But then the ugly beast at Potter’s side decided to climb straight up the wall until it was literally walking on the ceiling upside down as though it was the most normal thing to do in the world for whatever the fuck kind of thing it even was. Severus had never seen the like of it before and he was immensely grateful for that fact.
“Oh,” Hagrid said, sounding a little bit more in love with every word that came out of his mouth. “I didna think it could do tha’. What kind of critter is she, Harry?”
Potter looked at Hagrid over his shoulder for a moment and then gave a careless shrug. “You know, I never asked her.”
And that said exactly nothing, even when Hagrid chuckled at Potter’s non-answer and Potter offered a short grin in return.
Severus was not at all pleased with having the beast of no name literally hanging over his head, seeing as her jaws were big enough to eat said head in one generous bite if she so pleased. But Severus was practised in giving not a hint of his real feelings away and he kept his features schooled while he joined in the procession through Hogwarts.

Right then and there Harry resolved to lie to Hermione about this particular adventure. He would absolutely get brain damage from her slap if he admitted to the girl that his first reaction was not to try and flee through the blocked passage, or even to rejoice that the monster might be dead, but to instead say, “Bloody hell, are you alright?”

Wizards don’t like death magic but Jason does, Jason is, and Jason cannot and will not change what he is for some asshole’s inheritance.

“A late one,” Yuuri said. “Waking late, without an alarm. Coffee and breakfast while my roommate catches me up on All the Gossip. Maybe second breakfast. Then finding a quiet patch of ice.”
“Second breakfast? Like a hobbit?” Victor laughed and Yuuri laughed as well, confused. His idol was a nerd? The most beautiful man in the world thought he was funny?
