Summary
“That’s what I’m worried about.”
“Sorry?” Peter turned to face his sister. She sat upon the Stone Table, her legs tucked beneath her, making her look young. But her eyes were steady.
“Well, you’re all acting like there’s only two options: dying here or dying there.”
“I’m not sure you’ve really been listening, Lu- “
“No, you’re not listening. Or have you forgotten who really defeated the White Witch, Peter?”---
(Three ways Peter could have responded to this question. It turns out he has unresolved anger toward Aslan.) -

Summary
Like T’Challa’s, Shuri’s room was dark, but Ramonda was startled to see the toys her daughter had stowed on the shelves and cabinets, and she was suddenly struck by how young Shuri was. She was only eight years old now. She had only been 16 when she had died, dissolving in Ramonda’s arms.
A wave of grief rose in Ramonda, and she fell to her knees by the door. She had been in shocked denial during Shuri’s death, and when she had learned about T’Challa’s from a horrified Okoye, but now, seeing both her children alive, the tears she had been holding back came pouring out in quiet, hiccupping sobs. T’Chaka fell to his knees beside her, and his arms encircled her protectively, holding her close, not asking anything. He rocked her gently and hummed old lullabies they had sung to the children under his breath as she cried into his chest, relishing in the knowledge of her family around her, alive.
---
(Or: After the events of Infinity War, Ramonda, Queen of Wakanda, wakes up in 2010 in bed with her dead husband. After determining that this is not, in fact, a dream, she sets about doing everything she can to save her children. She swears nothing will ever hurt them again.)

Summary
She had his eyes.
It was the first thing James noticed beyond the fact that she wasn’t a threat. The blue eyes were piercing, staring at him from beyond her scraggly brown hair. She was just…staring at him, unphased by his presence in her home. Madeleine moved next to him, resting a hand on his forearm – to hold him there, or to brace him?
Her voice was barely above a whisper. “This is Mathilde.”
His brain caught up from where it had stalled because…she had his eyes. His “hello” was automatic, field training kicking in because he was in too much of a daze to think of anything beyond ‘if she has my eyes did that mean-?’---
(Or: James follows Madeleine home and instead finds her daughter. Follows his first meeting with Mathilde, and Madeleine's reaction and actions after his death.)

Summary
“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Summary
Samira has long known that being friends with Robby is a character flaw. It had just never seemed so damning until now. It itched at her inion whenever Jack stared at her from across the ED. She pushed it away when he emailed case studies, because he was the only person not related to her who emailed her at all. She ignored it because she liked the way his callused hands brushed against the soft skin of her inner thighs and how his warm tongue felt heavy in her mouth. She craved the goosebump tingle that seemed to pulse at every nerve ending, at every millimeter of skin, whenever Jack’s attention focused solely on her at the end of a long day.

Summary
“People aren’t either wicked or noble. They’re like chef’s salads, with good things and bad things chopped and mixed together.”
Frank learns early how little it takes to shift the course of things, how easily a life can bend around pain, around silence, around the wrong kind of survival.
Months later, Dr. Robby meets a boy he almost remembers, and can’t quite place why he doesn’t sit right.

Summary
“Jack,” Robby bit out, “You were not there that shift. The woman was distracted, and she let her personal life get in the way of her being a physician. She has the potential to be a great doctor, but if she can’t deal with a bit of tough love, then I don’t think she’s exactly cut out for working in an ED.”
“Tough love?” Jack questioned him in disbelief, “You call verbally abusing your subordinate in front of her coworkers tough love?”
OR
Samira is gone for months before Jack figures out what Robby did to her. But when he does, Jack doesn’t know if he can ever forgive him.
