“B-but you weren’t. I- You were— You died.”
The harsh sobs continue, and the potentials of what could have been are still too strong for Izuku to fight off.
“And it's all my fault.”
That declaration stuns Katsuki; he jerks back, pulling away his touch as his eyes bulge with confusion. At his sudden withdrawal, Izuku crumples into his lap.
“No, please,” a mess of wildly curly hair buries into his abdomen, and hands falling to grip at his pant legs, “I’m sorry. I'm so sorry, Kacchan.”
Katsuki compels his brain to reboot, needing to understand and rectify where that thought process came from.
“Wh—”
But Izuku is already spiraling.
Whereas he had been fighting tooth and nail to get the dumb dork to talk ten minutes ago, now words are just fumbling out. This is the unstable coherence he had been hiding, choosing to instead shield behind a state of dissociation to avoid the overwhelming emotions.
“It's my fault he targeted you. He set out to specifically kill you because he knew what it would do to me. He knew that you were one of my only weaknesses. And I wasn't— I wasn't there because I— I was too late. I couldn't save you. Because I was too fucking late.”

Summary
Everyone knows alpha/alpha mates aren't really a thing. Maybe not completely unheard of but certainly rare, and the idea of BONDED alphas is just freaking laughable. It's common knowledge they don't work, widely accepted because biology dictates and blah blah blah. Alphas set off all the wrong instincts in each other, rutting becomes downright dangerous, the whole thing is historically a disaster.
...So how the hell have Katsuki and Izuku managed to wake up with claiming bites???

So, he moved the cursor and selected the nerd's dating preferences as female and male. Making him basically bisexual. Katsuki's heartbeat halted for a moment, before he tsked.
"It's only a game. Get a grip."-

Katsuki starts to spend all his free time to play the new Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream game and creates a perfect life for his own Mii and Deku-Mii.It's a coping mechanism for his lost time and unrequited love to Izuku. However, he quickly realizes that things are not playing out as he had thought.
