    "Hey Mydei, how would you describe me with one word? Wait, wait, no HKS though, okay?"

    "I would say porcelain," Mydei responded with practically no hesitation, like he had thought this through before.

    "Seriously? That's what you say when I can be your equal in sparring? Pretty rude." Phainon squinted at him, pretending to be offended.

    "I didn't mean it like that. You're similar to porcelain in another way."

    "What way?"

     

    The sins one has committed will forever be entwined in their soul, like a wine stain on a pure white sheet, or golden ichor that cannot be washed from someone's hands.

    Phainon is a sinner, Mydei is one too.

    The only difference between the two is that one has learned to live and the other has drowned in the confines of their mind.

    Phainon makes a promise to himself every day, yet he breaks it every time.

    Mydei makes a promise to himself to ensure that Phainon does not break it again.
