Alternate Title: NO TRUCE WITHE MONOTREMES
A canon divergence story starting after the events of IDW’s Sonic the Hedgehog issue #56. Surge, wakes up in a hospital bed, she is Tenrec with greenish-yellow quills, black marking, and a bio-mechincal battle android, or Bionicle of sorts, remade by the mad scientist, Doctor Starline.
With no memory of who she was before this life, and no one she’d call a friend to be by her side. The only question now is whether she'll become a Black-Hearted villain or Brave-Hearted Hero.
Disclaimer: This is a Disco Elysium crossover fic with Surge having the Skills in her head, but it’s more of an Sonic the Hegehog IDW fic. So there's no Pale, it doesn't take place on Elysium, and I have no plans for Harry or Kim to make an appearance.
This fic will also have more minor AU elements that don’t pertain to Surge but exist to flesh out the world.

Summary
In 1989 two children were born, Hakurei Reimu and Gojo Satoru. Four years later the insurgent youkai sorcerers who feared the new era exterminated the Hakurei Clan leaving Reimu the only survivor. A year after that she and Gojo Satoru would meet for the first time. Seven years after that the chief architect of the Hakurei massacre returned with a student in tow, an orphan girl named Marisa Kirisame. Four years after that fateful meeting the three would meet a new student at Jujutsu High, Geto Suguru.
It is now 2006 and the big four of Jujutsu High: Hakurei Reimu, Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, and Marisa Kirisame have been tasked with ensuring the reincarnation of Yakumo Yukari.
A retelling of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Burial from JJK merged with Touhou, so Reimu and Marisa are sorcerers.Note: This is a reworking of a previous idea I had, which can be found in the same collection as this fic, although this isn't a continuation of that idea. Brian's stomach twisted and he looked back to the television. Which is to say, he barely noticed what was happening on it. He wasn't supposed to be this distracted by the cat, wasn't supposed to be getting any of the ideas he was getting. He'd always been the smart and responsible one. A retelling of the original NES Final Fantasy game's story but with Pokemon and a heavy dose of Gen 1. Wol stands in for the unnamed protagonists of both series, a man who prefers a pokeball and shield over a weapon of his own. This chapter retells the starting stages of FF1 which will be very familiar to anybody who has passing knowledge of the game. Still, here's hoping that you'll find surprises and intrigue despite the familiar tale. And some thrilling pokemon battles too!
