Summary
“Whoa, wait, back up.” Holland instantly sat up in his seat, grabbing hold of the arm so he could twist round to face Holly. “Klein? As in Janet Klein? Did you fucking punch Janet?!”
“Mr. March!” Principal Harrison admonished, “Language!”
Holland gave him an apologetic wince before he looked back at Holly.
“Holly,” he said, gentler, “Look at me.” He waited until Holly complied with his request. “Honey, did you punch Janet in the face?”
——OR——
Janet runs her mouth, and Holly finds that sometimes, a little violence is very helpful, actually.

Summary
Holland’s eyes flick over his face, and a faint pink blush appears on his cheeks. It’s utterly adorable. Jack has never wanted to kiss him so badly.
“Good to see you awake, Mr. March!” booms a jovial voice from the doorway. Holland flinches back, yanking his hand away from Jackson’s.
It’s stupid, but it hurts. He’s stupid. He’s in love.
Five times Jackson Healy wanted to kiss Holland March, and one time he finally does.

Summary
In the early afternoon, he finally hears the bedroom door click open, and footsteps padding down the hall.
"Thank God you're finally awake," Holland says, still hunched over the paper. "Jack, baby, they got me fucking stumped, they're making up new words. What's an eight-letter synonym for life, starting with a V?"
There's no reply. Healy can usually think of at least one thing to throw out, even if it doesn't fit. The silence goes on for a beat too long, and Holland didn't hear him move to the kitchen. He turns around —
— and it's Healy, standing there, it's definitely Healy, but it's a Healy who looks like he's in his fucking twenties.
His face is completely unlined — his hair is dark, not a speck of gray — and he's staring right back at Holland.
"Um." Holland's at a complete loss. "Hi."

Summary
"Aaron, I feel like this is perhaps indicative of a much larger issue." Mackenzie says. Which is a stupid thing to say. Aaron hates him.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Well, I mean, people don't cheat unless there's something wrong in their relationship. Maybe John isn't satisfying you, or—"
"Oh my god will you please shut up."
"You're the one who asked me for advice."
He's at the farm again. On Robert's day off. Mackenzie's in his overalls fixing some fence, had listened rather politely actually while Aaron ranted at him about what an idiot he's been. As much as he hates Mackenzie's input, he's glad to have someone he can talk to about everything.
"Aaron, you've got to stop asking me what I think if you're just going to ignore everything I say anyway."
Aaron gives him a look.
"No I don't."

Summary
She stumbled slightly and the man closed the distance, grabbing the back of her bag. She quickly slipped her arm out and took off. She was four houses down when she started yelling.
“Dad! Mr. Healy!”
She was two houses down when March stumbled out the front door, eyes wide and frantic. His eyes went from Holly to the man behind her.
“Holly!”
OR, Healy realizes he is more protective of this new family than he thought.
