Detective Rui x pianist Torpe au!
Rui and Nene are a pair of detectives looking into a string of murders, their only hint being a bar coupon. They meet a young pianist, Torpe, who almost instantly captivates Rui through a dazzling display on the piano. Unwilling to lose this intriguing encounter, Rui hands Torpe the agency’s business card under the guise of future assistance. Misfortune strikes and now Torpe finds himself working with the Phoenix Detective Agency!

Shifting his eyes around the rest of the room, Rui finds Tsukasas journal lying open on the floor. Something in the back of his mind screams at him to read through it, so he crawls over and grabs it with trembling hands
Written on the first page, a plea.
'If I could go back in time, maybe I'd fight back. I wouldn't have let that happen. Then maybe, just maybe, I could continue living happily. It seems like the stars just didn't give me that luxury this time.'
Staring at the journal in shock and confusion, Rui is unable to recall what the star was talking about. Tsukasa never mentioned anything that could have possibly lead to this outcome.
He blinks his tears away, only to open them on a bed. Next to him, a phone with an unread message from the very person he just saw hanging from by his neck—

Summary
Tsukasa has always been told to put others before himself. To be selfless, and that it was a great thing to have that trait. So why does he feel so guilty?
It is only when that “good” trait finally catches up to him that Tsukasa realizes how inevitable transience can be. He’s ended up getting injured because of his selflessness, and now he’s going to gradually lose his voice over the next few months until it’s gone permanently.
Tsukasa has never felt more alone than now.
…Or so he likes to think, as Rui has been standing by his side the whole time, he too questioning just how inevitable transience is. It is then that the alchemist asks the king, “What kind of ending are you wishing for?”

TL;DR Tsukasa is soon going to end up permanently losing his own voice due to an injury. Rui unconsciously holds his own worries. Both of them feel the very same guilt.
From there, everything goes downhill as Tsukasa unearths his past and connects the dots to the future.
