Grace is more than a little pent up after so long aboard an aircraft carrier with nothing to do but research. It's not a big deal, until it is, and he becomes a problem that Stratt takes it upon herself to solve.
It's almost like a challenge. I've never really been that good at rising to the challenge, but something's changed about me in these past few months. I clamp my legs around her thigh for a hint of the touch I really want, and a little gasp punches out of me.
"So you can behave yourself." Stratt says smugly, and I glare at her, probably ineffectively given my current position.
Blood rushes down my body, regardless.
"Yes." I say- why do I say that?
Why? Because she smiles.
"Good boy."

Despite the crew's best efforts to hide it, she knows people think her and Grace are, as he would say, "in cahoots." Stratt would not say something like "in cahoots." If she were talking to a close friend, and if she were referring to two individuals she thought were fucking, she would say just that. She would say, "Those two are probably fucking. Well then. Good for them. As long as they still hit their deadlines, that is." And that hypothetical close friend would hopefully appreciate her avoiding silly metaphors like "in cahoots," or "knocking boots," or "playing doctor."
Stratt huffs a laugh at the last one. Grace looks up from a letter and blinks at her.
"What?" He asks.
She internally shrugs. Looking straight at Grace, she says, "Why do you think so many people assume we're in cahoots?"
