Summary
Jaskier, who just discovered he has magic, and Geralt, who just discovered he hates wyverns even more than he thought, are headed to Kaer Morhen for the winter to rest and recover. They'll have months to figure out where Jaskier's magic comes from and what this new, delicate thing between them means.
As it turns out, neither of those things are as simple as they sound. Good thing they'll have some help.

Summary
“See?” Jaskier teased, “I told you I would kiss it better.” He leaned upwards, pressing another chaste kiss to Geralt’s temple. “One more for good luck.”
Geralt gave him a look that said he found Jaskier unspeakably odd but was too tired to say so. Jaskier (who was used to this look) simply patted his knee, rolled over, and promptly fell asleep.
As he fell asleep, Jaskier failed to notice that the wound seemed to shrink further, quickly reduced to nothing more than a thin white scar. He also failed to see Geralt raise a hand to his head, slowly tracing the scar and staring, dumbfounded, at Jaskier.
The room was quiet for the night, save for a single, soft “Fuck.”
(or: Jaskier has healing powers, and also feelings. Geralt doesn't really understand either.)

Summary
When Geralt realizes just what he said to Jaskier, he runs after the man. He finds him just in time to smell the flowers, see the blood and hear a confession. Then, he's dead.
3 years later he hears a familiar tune in the tavern. Destiny works in mysterious ways.

“Sometimes,” Geralt says quietly, “I forget that you care.”
Jaskier looks up surprised and sees that Geralt is looking down at him with a small frown on his face. “Geralt,” Jaskier sighs, shaking his head fondly, “you foolish beef-brain. Of course I care.”
Or, five times Jaskier asks Geralt questions, and the one time Geralt asked Jaskier.
