Summary
When Jordan Pero arrives in Forks to live with her father Charlie, she's fleeing her former life in San Francisco and all the hurt that came with it. “Are you implying the vampire theory is true?” I asked, chuckling.
“Maybe”, he said with a grin, and we both burst out laughing.
“I’m sorry Emmett”, I finally said, “but you are way too…sunny to be a vampire.” I wrinkled my nose. “Not goth enough.” I paused. “Edward is typical vampire material, though. All angsty and. I don’t know. Out of time? Sometimes he has this expression like he’s seen all of this a hundred of times and is just very, very tired.”
