Every good Angelino knows that Runyon isn't the place you go to actually workout. It's the place to see and be seen. And, well, Buck wants to be seen. He wants to find someone, anyone, to try to build a life with who isn't his heterosexual best friend. If he just so happens to wear his bisexual pin on the strap of his neon green fanny pack, that's his business.
He's actually not even really looking when he stops a—admittedly—cute blonde girl with a Husky or Malamute dog.
"Oh my goodness," Buck gasps at her, "your dog is beautiful!" He stops and bends down in front of the dog who regards him with its tongue lolling out, ears up and alert. "Could I pet him?"
The woman smiles at him brightly. "Yeah, he's friendly. His name is Mike."
Mike? What a funny name for a dog. He sticks a hand out for Mike to sniff. The dog leans forward, sniffs, and then lets Buck scratch his ears.
Or: Buck goes looking for something and gets bit by a dog. Eddie reaps the benefits.

It’s too hot, so hot, Clark needs to get his suit off right this instant. He kicks at his boots before pressing the crest on his chest. The whole thing slinks back in and condenses, he puts the charm on the metal table beside him and feels like he can finally breathe.
He’s only slightly panting. The room glows red, the monitors brightness the only light unaffected. He feels what he thinks is best closely described as drunk. Or delirious. Whichever shoe fits. The haze over his mind is slowly starting to fade.
It’s only when Bruce enters the room that he’s felt any sense of clarity since this morning.
Except now, he’s naked.
