Summary
The White House has a “tracking anomaly,” and the anomaly is Superman sneaking in to sexually restore the President of the United States.
--
Marcus Thorne, the Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division, leaned his hands on Jim’s desk, his eyes boring into the Chief of Staff. "I can doctor the electronic security logs for twenty-four hours under 'classified training exercises.' I can tell the White House Diarists it was a secure teleconference with a foreign asset. But I can't protect a POTUS who is keeping his own security detail in the dark. If Evander is a vulnerability, "Super" or not, I need to prepare every contingency for it. Or if "Evander" is a leverage point, I need to know. Who the hell is he to POTUS Luthor, Jim?"Jim looked out the window, his mind trapped in the terrifying gray between political survival and national security. "I don't know, Marcus," Jim said honestly, heart hammering against his ribs. "But whatever it is, Pete and Lana are protecting that status. And if the Vice President of the United States is willing to lie to the Secret Service to keep "Evander" in that Private Study, we have a much bigger problem than unvetted badge scans."

Summary
The public execution of Clark and Lex's bond, under oath. Lex asks Clark to testify against Lionel. Clark immediately says yes. Lionel pushing Clark toward Lex's secret room housing his investigations may have ended their friendship, but Clark testifies anyway.
At Lionel Luthor’s federal detention hearing, Clark takes the stand -- and Lionel’s elite defense team turns his entire history with Lex into evidence against him. Against Lex. Against *them*.
The rescues, the loyalty, the defiance, the broken bodies and trail of damage left in the wake of Clark's devotion to Lex. In a Federal courthouse, it's twisted against them in the harsh florescent light of day.
From the outside, it’s obsession, grooming; farm boy deluded and ruined by a billionaire executive.

Summary
It has been 354 days since Jonathan Kent died.
_
Lex tipped Clark's head further back and took a good look at him. It's clear this wasn't cooperation, just physical pliability without presence. Clark's eyes were vacant.Lex had watched this very thing happen once already. He was not going to watch it happen again. The dread of watching someone go too willingly toward the thing that takes people. Clark has not once in the whole of the evening made any motion toward the living side of the equation.
Lex needed that dirt gone.
And then Lillian came anyway.Through the motion of his own hands, through this tending that his hands had apparently stored in themselves without telling him. Pamela's hands in his mother's fragile hair. He drove it back. He drove it back hard. Clark and Lillian could not occupy the same space in his mind, they were not the same, Clark was not Lillian, Clark was in this tub because of a February night and a cotton shirt and a grief that had no floor to it. They were not the same. The dirt was going down the drain and Lillian was going with it and neither of them was going to be on Clark when he got out of this bath.

How the latest youth craze over Japanese pocket monsters helped Lex collect evidence on Clark.
What Clark really means to him, that is.

(A small pre-quel fic related to "What the Ledger Missed" https://archiveofourown.org/works/81228541?view_full_work=true
Because the inspiring images from Lex's flashback were too hilarious yet poignant not to expand into a small ficlet. -

Summary
Clark goes missing on a Thursday, shirking school, volunteer work, and chores. Clark Kent does not do this.
The Kents' first call is Lex Luthor, exiled Metropolis playboy, who introduced himself to Clark by hitting him with a Porsche. Jonathan Kent has spent the better part of a year praying his son would stop spending time with Lex; he's no Smallvillian's first choice for responsible adult, including his own.
And yet he's exactly who Clark needed. What he finds is not the Clark he knows. And the ledger he keeps on Clark Kent will never quite balance after this.
A Clex character study dressed as a comedy. Or possibly the reverse.

My first love letter of sorts to Smallville's baby-Clex years, especially Season 1. I was going to put this in the Clex Call Log series but it fits better on its own.

Summary
"Has it occurred to you," Lex posits, delicately, like he's a doctor delivering a bad prognosis, "that you can't remember our past because it isn't your past?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well." Lex licks a bread crumb from his lips, one clean swoop of his tongue before it disappears behind his teeth. "The multiverse was split wide open when Superboy Prime broke through. We assumed that when you defeated him, everything went back to normal. But what if it didn't?"

Summary
The winter months don't really affect Clark the same way as they do other people. But as a being powered by the sun, the first day of spring does make him feel... different. Hopeful.
And he tries to give Lex a taste of that too.

Summary
"One, he's too gay to be my boyfriend." Lois began. If her hands weren't tied down, she would have counted the responses with her fingers to indicate them being read off an imaginary list. "Two, I told you why he's going to be late. Three - did you just kidnap me out of jealousy?"
