Skye is just a girl that attends high school and has dreams of becoming an astronomer, then she spends her nights wishing on stars for someone who will actually stay when even her own parents don't have enough time for her.
While Zim, is a defective ex-invader exiled to Earth with a defective robot and believing a lie about being sent to invade Earth. Then she ends up seeing him the night he ends up on her planet without a disguise. Thinking she wouldn't see him again, it all changes when an alien whose ego was too large and who wouldn't stop screaming attends the same high school as her.
Too bad she only sees him as a joke from the stars. Fate, huh?
