Summary
A modern AU in which the five great clans function as regional political powers rather than cultivation sects. When an altercation between clan heirs ends in the accidental death of Wen Chao — Wen Ruohan's last surviving son — Wen Ruohan demands compensation from the Yunmeng Jiang Clan: Jiang Cheng's hand in marriage. Jiang Fengmian agrees. Jiang Cheng, practical enough to know the math and proud enough not to fall apart about it, prepares to marry a man he expects to survive.
What he doesn't prepare for is Wen Ruohan paying attention. Summary
Chan's been in love with them since the beginning of time; there was never a version of him that didn’t revolve around them. So what if they only love each other and not him? So what if they are dating everyone else but him? So what if even after they started dating him, he feels like he’s watching the people he loves love each other, and he’s been allowed closer but not quite inside?
It's just all part of the sacrifice he has to do for them, right?

And he gets it. They also have six other boyfriends, and they were still learning to divide their time properly, but why was he the only one asking them out? Why had Chan never gone on a date with his boyfriends unless it was him asking them out?
It was a slow realization, and it made him spiral more and more and more.
Was he really just their leader? Just their protector? Just the wall between them and the management?
Was he just their pity case and not their boyfriend?

but chan can't help feeling more about the others, they are his team. HIS boys. yet he feels guilty, he should not think about the others in these ways. it's wrong. but, he can't help it.
of course chan loves his boys, more than himself. but this love has turned into more than friendly love.
