Summary
A red light cast over the two. Grian and Mumbo were away from the rest of the server, and pretty happy about it. All they had to do was finish the Ghast farm, and they could head home to the Southlands and feel accomplished.
It was not meant to be.
One tragedy later, the two face off not sure how to move forward. Mumbo just wants to get out of there.
Grian? Well, he knows one thing: He and Mumbo are still going to be friends. No matter what.

Astrid, however, is not willing to take any of it.

"Toothless," Hiccup gasped. "We have to go. Now," As the rider got onto the back of his dragon, Toothless turned around, bounding through the row of cages. "Whoa!" the rider exclaimed. "What's gotten into you, bud?" The dragon paid no mind to what his rider said as he ran back to the cage that he was previously at. Toothless warbled, gesturing at the cage.
"What is it, bud?" Hiccup asked. "Is there another dragon in there?" The rider hopped off the dragon's back and approached the cage. A low growl came from its depths as two eyes glared back at him.
"Oh," he gasped softly. "Hey there. I'm sorry I didn't see you." He slid open the lock, slowly walking into the cage. The dragon growled as the human slowly approached it. "I'm gonna get you outta here." He raised his hand slowly, waiting for the dragon to come. "It's okay. I won't hurt you." As the growling slowly subsided, the dragon slowly moved from the shadows. As Hiccup was finally able to lay his eyes on her, he gasped.
"A night fury?"

With Astrid never discovering Toothless and peace between dragons and Vikings nowhere in sight, Hiccup spends years balancing life as Berk's resident disappointment and as a mysterious dragon rider, stopping Hunter operations and destroying the dragon trade
It's a terrible plan and Hiccup has no idea how he managed to not get caught but things take a turn for the worse as tensions grow and he catches the attention of the Hunter Chief.

Summary
Basically, Hiccup and Toothless don't become best buds and Hiccup becomes a recluse blacksmith. He and Stoick grow apart more than they already have and the gang overlook him because he stops trying to help and in turn doesn't cause anymore issues around Berk. There will be a time skip of a few years, possible to when Stoick starts to train Hiccup to be Chief and everyone starts to recognize that he is actually very smart and works really hard in the Forge.
