“You’re blind,” Derek said flatly, the anger draining from him so suddenly he felt almost woozy. His vision cleared, his claws sliding back into blunt fingernails.
“Thanks for the memo, genius,” the kid said acidly. “I can still fucking defend myself, so don’t take another damn step.”
“Fuck, I...I’m sorry,” Derek stuttered.
“What?!” The kid’s brow crinkled. “I mean — what?! You’re fucking sorry!?” His lips thinned into a harsh line. “What, is this some kinda Hallmark movie where you’re discovering the error of your ways because you don’t want to rob a blind person?! That’s fucking condescending, man. I’ll have you know that —”
“Just, wait.” Derek interrupted what was apparently the start of a convincing argument as to why he should rob the kid after all, feeling his head start to spin. “This is — it’s a misunderstanding. I’m — I’m not robbing you. You’re — you’re safe, okay? I’m taking three steps back. Just — just let me explain.”
“Explain why you came busting into my apartment? Yeah, go right ahead, man, I can’t wait to hear this epic tale.”

After a leaked picture of who might have been Ilya Rozanov at a party in Moscow involving not-exactly-league-approved behavior, the Boston Bears' up-and-coming star was given an ultimatum: billet one of the new rookies through the upcoming season, or face the potential of being cut loose at the end of his ELC if he couldn't clean up his image.
Rozanov assumed babysitting a rookie would be a buzzkill at a time going into his third season in Boston that should've been nothing but great hockey and convincing Hollander to finally let him at that ass.
Then he found out the rookie he'd been paired with was Stiles Stilinski, and all his assumptions went flying out the window.

Crystal Palace moves to Port Townsend, Washington. Already tired of her new school, she spots someone interesting: Niko Sasaki. She wants to ask her out, but her new friend Monty informs her of the rule: Niko can only date when her adoptive brother Edwin does.
Crystal doesn't mind that so much. After all, she's got plenty of her family's money, as well as a man who's willing to spend his own money to try to date Niko. The only problem is finding someone willing to date Edwin.
There's Edwin's best friend, Charles, but other than being devastatingly straight, he won't accept money or betray Edwin like that. There's Monty, who Edwin already turned down. And it seems like everyone else at Port Townsend high is scared of him. Which leaves one person: so-called bad boy Thomas King.
Crystal just has to trust that this won't all backfire.
