   Summary

   Varaena Velaryon is the eldest daughter of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon, born on stormy night barely 9 months after their wedding. Spending her formative years in the Red Keep, a tentative friendship grew between her and her uncle Aemond.
   But that friendship was broken, and they didn't see each other for 6 long years. Until...fate suddenly throws them back together when she and her family are forced to return to King's Landing in order to defend her brother Lucerys. The feelings that were thought to have faded suddenly come rushing back to the surface. But before either is given a chance to adjust, they are bound together in a way neither of them thought they ever would be.
   As tensions mount between her mother and his brother, as the entire kingdom waits to see who shall inherit the throne, they must come to terms with their new reality, and pick a side in the coming conflict.
