Summary
What was supposed to be a simple mission turns into a complete disaster when Zanka, Enjin, and Gris are sent to deal with an overwhelming number of Trash Beasts. Exhausted after hours of fighting, the trio stops at a restaurant.
While Enjin and Gris stay behind, Zanka goes for a walk through the city to clear his head. There, he unexpectedly runs into his enemy, Jabber Wonger, who is busy threatening a mysterious hooded man. As expected, the encounter quickly escalates into a fight.
However, just as Jabber is about to kill him, something impossible happens.
Jabber suddenly vanishes.
In his place stands a small, severely injured child.
After noticing Mankira's rings on the boy's fingers, Zanka realizes the truth somehow, the child is Jabber. He quickly connects the incident to the hooded man Jabber had been interrogating earlier and concludes that a strange Jinki must have transformed him into a younger version of himself.
Unsure what to do with the feral, traumatized child who used to be one of the most dangerous Raiders in the Pit, Zanka brings him back to Enjin and Gris.

Summary
“Goka!” Zanka hisses, eyes wide as he tugs on his brother’s sleeve and subtly points at the group, “Goka, who are those people?” The awe in his voice is clear.
They pass each other, Zanka leaning his head behind Goka to continue staring.Quickly, Goka grabs Zanka’s arm that holds his sleeve and pulls him forward.
“Ouch!” He cries. The sudden movement had hurt his shoulder. “Goka-”
“Those people,” Goka interrupts, voice suddenly clipped, “are Cleaners. The Hell Guard works with them sometimes. But you should avoid ‘em as much as possible.”
“Okay.” Zanka accepts easily. If Goka says someone is no good, he’s usually right.
“They’re sick in the head.” Goka grits out.
Or, Zanka grows up wondering.
Or, or, my completely self indugent fic where I make Zanka into a trans girl because I think she has something going on. Something something, repression, something something, Givers as a metaphor for queer awakening.

Summary
Still a trainee, Zanka is struggling to adapt. The rigid discipline that once carried him to the top of Hell Guard Academy leaves him floundering among the casual chaos of the Cleaners, uncertain of where he fits.
Thankfully, Enjin has been keeping him close, a grounding force amid all the uncertainty.
Then on one fateful market venture, he finds his eyes transfixed, staring into tasselled blue.
A longing ache stirs within him.
Enjin gets a bright idea.

Summary
He didn't intend to be a traitor. To have developed a routine of fighting, fucking, and fixing with the Raiders’ most unhinged weapon, the very man he had sworn to neutralize with whatever his mediocre staff can do to an immovable force.
It's an active operational security breach thrumming in his veins every time his heart stutters. He didn't know that he signed up for that through every single clash of metal on metal — and of lips on lips.
Now the captain and the boss know. So he's facing consequences.
And it's all biting him in the ass.

“Wait- they don’t, they don’t know, do they? That I’m…” he swallows thickly. “Blind.”
“I,” Eishia hesitates, and her grip tightens slightly. “I haven’t told them yet, but they’ve all been pacing outside since you got back. Over two hours, now.”
“I don’t need to tell them, I’ll just… stay here. Get over it, start trainin’ again so it don’t happen again,” Zanka mutters. “’m fine, I don’t need to be coddled.”
“It’s not coddling, its called healing Zan-Zan,” Riyo’s lilting voice comes from… the doorway? “How ya feeling?”

"I don't want you to come near me," the civilian says, clutching onto his arm with all the possessiveness of a man who believes something will be stolen from him. This is one reason why Eishia doesn't like being on the field – there's more chance of having to interact with non-Givers and they really tend to not like her.
Or: Eishia just wants to help.

"GREAT! Just great! As if this could GET any better!" Zanka bites out, seething. Of course he's stuck here, injured, in a damp, dirty cell, and of course he's stuck here with fucking Jabber of all people.
Jabber whistles appreciatively, "Man, you're in a mood today. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" and cackles at his own joke. Zanka's gonna strangle him. He's gonna rip out those bars with his bare hands and use them to beat Jabber to death.
or
Zanka is taken by some people who want to study givers. Jabber is there too. This somehow makes everything both better and so much worse.

Summary
Sunagakure is an outpost’s outpost, the most hidden of the hidden villages. Situated deep in the bowels of the planet Kaze, aptly named for the devastating windstorms caused by its thin atmosphere, the village is mostly nomadic. Under attack, the entire village can close off its tunnel structure and relocate in less than twenty-four hours, so long as the location of the Seed Bank isn’t discovered.
With Gaara as its leader and a code of strict cultural mores, the small underground society has survived, perhaps even thrived. But their safety and stability is put at risk when a ship crashes on the surface of Kaze, a ship whose crew claim to be the last known survivors of the long-abandoned planet Earth. And what the outsiders bring with them causes Gaara to question everything he's ever known ...
