Not bad. I liked the premise of moving cross country. I don't think I've seen another fic with something like that. -

Summary
Mattie Cairns is a coyote with a dream. And some would say becoming the premier oil tycoon of Texas is a dream too big. But for Mattie, the cowgirl that she is, it’s just the final step before leaping away from her past.
Things get complicated when she meets Wilson Baker, a human geologist hailing from northern academia. The man has something to prove, but to whom no one knows, and he won’t stop until he has.
The pairing couldn’t be more opposite. But together, their commonalities come to light as they weather the plot-scheming and business-dealing barons of the early twentieth century oil industry.

Listening to Geogaddi by Boards of Canada while reading this and it feels like I'm watching a drama TV show. The Anon-Fang interaction in Chapter 5 just feels so real and raw. His emotional intelligence is part of what made me continue to read.
That was something I was coming to understand about love. You don't love someone for the things they do for you. You love them because you want to do things for them . You want to see them succeed and thrive. And even if it means they don't choose you… you still want everything in the world for them.
