Christopher’s tears finally tipped over. “He can’t leave!”
“Chris, baby, I gotta go.” Buck said.
"But you can’t go home when you’re hurt! Dad has to fix you!”
“What does he mean, Buck?" Eddie asked.

“Eddie, Nick is hitting Buck, and I think he’s gonna kill him!"
"Buck’s apartment, now!” was all Eddie had to say, and the team was taking off to the trucks.
Hen and Chimney went sprinting to the ambulance, Eddie, Bobby and the others not far behind to the ladder truck. As Eddie jumped inside, sirens clicked on, and the gas to the fire truck had never been pressed harder.

Several months ago, Buck got into a relationship, one he was certain would distract him from his current downward fall into love for Eddie.
Instead, Buck wears long sleeves, panics easily, and is hiding away his biggest secret.
Nick hits him.
