Something twitched in Two Time’s jaw and their eyes looked at something behind Elliot, something in the windows behind him. It was like they were hearing something else that Elliot couldn’t hear, and he didn’t doubt that they were, before nodding at whatever they heard.
“Come with me.” Two Time turned on their heel, not looking back to ensure Elliot followed, and walked towards the kitchen.

Scar squeezed his hand once more, trying to ignore the way his heart squeezed, too. “We won’t let Them. Take you back, I mean. Mumbo and I would fight tooth and nail to get you back, to protect you, if you ever needed us to.”
Grian was silent, his eyes fixed on the stars. “And if I wanted to go back?” His tone was unreadable, his expression blank, fixed on whatever it was calling him. “Would you let me?”

Or, Grian, Scar, and Mumbo are happy together. But with winter comes the calls of a life Grian tried to escape, stirring up old memories for everyone. Healing, of a sort, ensues.
