Summary
Her legs gave out and she braced herself for the incoming pain. A gunshot rang out and a scream filled the quiet night.
Except.. the scream wasn't coming from her. Better yet, she didn't feel any pain. Risking opening her eyes, she looked down at herself, looking for any injuries, but she was surprised to see a complete lack of gunshot wound on her.
Looking up, the sight that greeted her made her wince. The gang leader was on the ground, screaming in pain and clutching his leg as best as he could. She could only stare in confusion, her ears ringing slightly.

The establishment was a dingy hole-in-the-wall between a dead end and a dark alley.
Normally, he wouldn't have ever glanced it's way, primarily out of fear of seeing something he shouldn't have or catching an unknow infection. The walls definitely seemed moldy enough to house a whole new type of bacteria and the dust in the air smelled older than the building itself.
Still, he did lose that bet.
