    Just as they managed to get themselves under control, Paul realized where they had stopped—directly in front of the nursery. There were several bassinets already lined up, occupied by tiny bundles in blankets topped with tiny stocking caps in pale colors, with their fathers’ names printed proudly at the foot. As they watched, two more were wheeled in and added to the lineup—a blue blanket with a yellow hat and a sign that said SIMS, a pink blanket with a white hat and a sign that said KING. The other babies were sleeping, but these two were wide awake and staring.

    And even though he knew they couldn’t see that far yet, Paul couldn’t help but notice that if they could, they’d be looking directly into one another.

    Scion City. A town full of superheroes, supervillains, and constant danger and excitement. At the center of it all, Scion City Times, the most prestigious paper in the city, working to report the activities of the superhumans that call Scion City home.

    As Jon and Martin, along with their colleagues Tim and Sasha, cover current events, they discover cryptic notes left by Gertrude Robinson, former reporter, now corpse. Unbeknownst to the rest of them, Martin’s started working a second job: he's recently donned a mask and become a superhero. A job that becomes more difficult as Jon tries to unravel the mysteries of the city, even as it makes him a target. Together, they're going to have to uncover the conspiracy that surrounds Scion City, or they're going to have to die trying.

    Jon dislikes Tims usage of memes, Jon doesn’t catch all pop culture references that are thrown at him, Jon flinches when two certain numbers are spoken in succession, Jon does basically all his work on his computer, but never stops complaining about it, Jon dresses like he’s eighty but has a suspiciously young face, Jon says “cringe” out loud instead of actually cringing. Jon does a lot of weird things.

    Sasha thinks he had a sheltered childhood,

    Martin thinks he’s just not that caught up with the times,

    Tim thinks he is as old as he dresses, and that dementia is catching up with him.

    None of them are right, not even close, and Jon is terrible at lying. It’s only a matter of time before they find out.
