    With his infamous Parker luck, he managed to find himself in the one city where meta-humans (or enhanced) aren’t welcome, all because the local hero (Batman, is he a bat? Ridiculous name, Peter earned his name, he’s a humanoid-spider!) dislikes them.

    That’s probably some sort of racism… or ableism… okay, it’s an ism.

    Well, at least Peter isn't running around in leather and bat ears like some sort of kinky furry!

    Peter Parker was dead that day the sky was torn and the magic circled above him. He traded all he knew, all he was, to continue on as Spider Man. Dr. Strange told him that it was dangerous, but he was done putting those he cared about in danger. He wanted MJ and Ned to go to college, to be happy. For that to happen, Peter Parker ceased to exist.

    One act of mercy later, and Peter opened his eyes to a sea of green and blind panic. He escaped, but he had no idea where he was or why he looked so different. Unbeknownst to either Peter Parker or Dick Grayson, Peter now wore a strange mix of his and someone else’s face.

    Summary

    Peter Parker may have been dropped in some Jersey-based hellscape thanks to Dr Strange’s spell, but he was making it work. He was. Okay, reliving his teen years wasn’t on his bingo card, nor was being homeless, but he wasn't homeless for long! He’s been crashing with one of the local heroes. It’s some guy called Red Hood who seems to terrify everyone, which personally he thinks is silly, because this dork is clearly an absolute softy. Despite having the intelligence of an 18 year old tech genius in the body of a homeless 13 year old, and, oh yeah, the whole spider thing, Peter thinks he’s been doing a stellar job of being your run-of-the-mill average homeless teenager.

     
    Jason Todd, on the other hand, is about to have an aneurism. There is a homeless child with his name, Dick's face and Tim's intelligence sleeping in his safe-house. They don’t know where he came from, or how he fights as easy as breathing. He just knows that he’s somehow responsible for this mess now.

     Jesus fucking christ.

    Peter awakes with a groan, his hand going to his head as he sits up. He looks around confused, before it all comes rushing back to him.

    Dr strange and the spell. Ned, MJ, Tony and… May. Oh god. It only just happened but here he was, sitting on the dirty floor of some random place already feeling sorry for himself. It was his fault. Of course it was. If he hadn't been so stupid, if he had listened to Tony instead of arguing with him, then he wouldn't have been in that situation. Trusting Beck. If he hadn't been so stubborn, he's sure Tony and Miss Potts would've sorted it out, hidden his identity away. But instead he acted irrationally, and now look at where that got him. In some dingy old alleyway.

    Peter gets sent to the DCU as a result of Dr Strange’s spell, instead of being forgotten about.
    He gets involved with the bats who realise he looks a lot like a certain vigilante…
