    Summary

You’re a federal linguistics analyst decoding foreign intercepts tied to bioweapon trafficking when you uncover something chilling: your full name deliberately embedded inside a scrambled transmission.

Before you can report it, your system is breached.

Within the hour, you’re extracted by Leon S. Kennedy and relocated to an off-grid safehouse while officials investigate how a hostile bio-organic weapons network identified you.

From isolation, you continue decoding archived messages and uncover a pattern — every transmission referencing you connects to a coordinated operation moving closer to U.S. soil. Your name wasn’t just intimidation.

    Summary

Leon S. Kennedy knows what bio terror looks like when it slips the leash. He just didn’t expect it to show up in a hospital hallway on a rain-soaked night, wearing a human face and calling his name.

Stella Harrison, RN, is the kind of nurse who keeps an emergency department running with steady hands and a sharper spine. She also has a past she buried on purpose: a rural “community” that spoke in hymns about harvests and vessels, and taught her the cost of being useful.

When an unlisted patient arrives at Armitage Memorial Medical Center and the symptoms don’t match anything in the textbooks, Leon and Stella are forced into the same containment perimeter. One wants answers. The other wants normal. Neither gets what they want, and the people who sent the patient are already planning the next delivery.

Slow burn. High tension. Hospital horror meets covert bio terror. And the most dangerous thing in the building might be the secrets they’re both trying to keep.

    Summary

"We were fucking set up," he spit.

I retreated from him immediately, unable to calm my tremble. "I knew this was going to happen."

    "What?" His brow furrowed.

"One of your people betrayed me once already. That's the real reason I'm here."

Impatient, pained breaths shuddered from his lips. "I need you to tell me the truth, Kendra."

    I hesitated. "... I can't."

"Bullshit. I need to know what the hell is going on."

"I can't." I stressed the words this time.

"That's not good enough." The menace in his voice was worse than shouting.

    "You're a federal agent. I can't... I don't..." I exhaled, defeated. "There's no way for me to know I can trust you."

Anger molded his features. "I took a fucking bullet for you."

My defenses crumbled. "You didn't know who you were protecting."

His gaze sharpened. "Tell me the truth. Are you dangerous?"

There was no reason for him to trust me. No reason for me to expect him to. But the way he looked at me didn't promise suspicion. It promised something else. Something far more terrifying.

His fingers tightened around his gun.
