They heard the first scream.
Blood rushed to Hyunjin's head, the anxiety that had been festering in his chest spread throughout his entire body. Floating between states of awareness.
It wasn’t the same one that they all shared, filled with excitement and bliss. Agony. A terrible cry ripped through the air. There were faint sounds of flesh tearing, drowned out but the spectacle of light that shone above them.

Summary
Jeongin was taken in the middle of the night from Haven Penitentiary. He knew where his kidnappers were taking him: District Nine. The place where dangerous and magical individuals all hid, and the place where they'd kill him.
At least, he thought District Nine was the dangerous place. That was until one of its residents asked him why he'd been chained to his bed during an evacuation.
[Or, Jeongin is taken and finds himself questioning his protectors at Haven Penitentiary when the people at District Nine prove themselves to be connected to his past and surprisingly hospitable. Oh, and there's this really cute guy named Hyunjin there, too.]
