The question broke the silence of the surroundings; it surprised Hazal, who was sitting on the edge of the sofa. Nightmare also seemed confused by the question, because it jumped when Anthony spoke.
“Why do you need to know?” she asked in a gruff tone, not looking at the man. “You're going to get rid of me anyway.”
“Don't make me more angry. And answer the question.”
He sounded pissed off. Hazal didn't know if it was just his tone or if he was actually angry.
“Thirteen.”
“Really?” Anthony laughed, surprised. “You look seven.”
“I'm not seven!”
The man stood up, patting his thighs with his hands. He looked like his mood had improved in a second.
“You'll miss subtracting years, kid. This world will wear you down, and you won't even know when it happened.”
