a small sign reading “marry me?” was hung around its neck and upon closer inspection, was that? no way, right? but yes, upon closer inspection there was a small silver band hanging around the string holding the sign up and he spun around to iwaizumi in confusion, but there he was, his steady and reliable boyfriend, down on one knee as he asked a simple question, “be mine? i’m yours”

or iwaizumi puts in a lot of work so that he can propose with a cat (because he also loves cats and on a totally unrelated note oikawa has been talking about adopting a cat for the 3 years they’ve moved into their new house from their apartment that didn’t allow pets and iwaizumi totally has not taken this into consideration or anything like that)
