Summary
Jiang Cheng is stuck- trapped, in a prison forged out of his past and his emotions, one he had been trying to escape for the past years. When he learns something that adds another one to the chains holding him down, he despairs that he may never be capable enough to escape his self-made prison on his own.
In a feeble effort to escape for just a little bit, he accidentally meets with an immortal being who offers him a deal of a lifetime.

“You’re offering to take away my emotions?” He asks, conflicted, he has always struggled with his anger, anyone who knew him knew that, but people weren’t often aware that his struggle with his anger was a result of struggling with every other emotion he has and being unable to express them properly, they weren’t aware that at this point, anger was a comforting friend.
“No,” the immortal giggles, her sound soft and melancholic but somehow grating on his ears “I can take away your feelings.”

Jiang Cheng looked over at Lan Huan with a raised eyebrow. He'd grown used to Lan Huan randomly declaring things like that while they were hanging out over the years, but he found himself instantly on edge now.
For some reason Lan Huan was now looking at him with an expression that was both urgent and… almost hopeful. It was, quite frankly, a little unnerving.
"What is it?" he asked, trying to keep his voice as casual as possible.
