Gordon Freeman was abandoned by his Player after the events of Half-Life 1, left to figure himself out in Post Game. Four years after the fact, he and the Science Team have discovered that not wearing your helmet into a chamber filled with otherworldly radiation is going to have some strange effects on the human body. Luckily for them, there’s somebody that can help Gordon accommodate to his new alien powers…unluckily for him, that somebody happens to be a certain former security guard that can’t seem to stay dead.

Summary
An AU series slightly to the left of canon HLVRAI in which the experimental build of Half-Life was part of an unfinished Anniversary re-release of Half-Life and its expansions called “Half-Life Collector Edition.”
The Player from HLVRAI does not abandon the game for several years but instead creates a “Post Game” of sorts for his AI to live in…and THEN abandons it, leaving behind a Gordon Freeman whose personality and memories were molded by the actions of his Player and has deeply concerning abandonment issues.
Meanwhile, other players shape their own experiences with HLCE and the AI that it creates for them with varying degrees of insanity.- Words:

This started as Multiplayer AU but, uh. Has mutated severely! Go check out thecryptidcorvid on tumblr for what these characters are supposed to be like when not subject to my awful whims. I'm playing their backstories and personalities by ear so things are pretty fucken different! The basic summary is that Gordon is the only AI, and the rest are roleplayers doing their best to roleplay.
