Summary
Stranded in a runabout above a pre-warp planet and three days out from rescue, Garak and Julian find themselves with a lot of unexpected free time on their hands.
In the meanwhile, they have alcohol, a replicator, and luckily each other. Julian realizes he can’t fight the inevitable any longer. He takes this opportunity to finally tell Garak exactly how he feels, but worries about the consequences of his honesty.

Phil had no idea where this was going, but he had to squash it now, because he could already tell it was not going to end well for him. “I don’t need to bring a date. Besides, I’m flying out tomorrow. I can’t just create someone out of thin air.”
“Please,” Natasha said with a wave of her hand. “We’re SHIELD. We can create anything out of thin air.” She focused on something behind Phil, and one corner of her mouth quirked up. “And I think for this, we won’t have to. Clint!”

“Well, it’s a really interesting, mildly depressing story,” David tries to explain. “I, uh. Seem to have-. Left. At least one or two singular cells in New York, with the girl I was seeing just before we lost everything. When we came here, I tried to call her. She was the only person I called, actually. And she never answered the phone to tell me she was-.” He isn’t totally sure what’s most appropriate way to end that sentence.
“Pregnant with your baby?” Patrick finishes, with absolutely no judgement in his voice.
“Yeah,” David says, voice strained. “That.”
