Summary
Dark hair, tall, all tan skin and toned muscles, swim trunks hanging way too low on his hips - all in all, the most handsome man Nico had ever seen, and he couldn't keep his eyes off him.
He looked so beautiful and at home in the water Nico couldn't help but feel like he was some sort of sea god.
Nico was too far away to see it now, but he knew that even his eyes were the color of the sea.
What is he even so hot for?
As ridiculous as it sounded, Nico could feel himself blush just looking at him. Yet there was something (everything really) about him that was so magnetic it made it impossible to tear his eyes away - really, at this point Nico spent most of his shifts at the beach kiosk looking at him; he wasn't sure if it was a blessing or a curse that that man came to the beach so often.
Percy.
(Or: Nico is a goth boy working at a kiosk on a beach, Percy is a surfer who regularly goes to that beach. Lots of mutual pining ensued.)

“You saved my life,” Grover said, coming up to stand next to me with the box in his hands, “I.. well, the least I could do… I went back and got you this.”
Reverently, he dropped the shoe box in Percy lap. The demigod set the nectar down on the table once it was all gone, strength renewed to deal with the insanity happening right in front of him. He gently open the box up and when he saw what was inside, he dropped it and buried his head in his hands.
That damned horn.
“Is this a prank?” He asked, his voice now hoarse from the emotions claiming up his throat rather than from his terrible night, “The Minotaur.”
“um, It isn’t a good idea to say his name out loud-“
“Let him hear.” Percy scowled, standing up from the chair, holding the shoe box in a tight angry grip.

After a hundred and thirty three years waiting for the Stranger to came back, he does. As he gives Hob a proper smile and sits across Hob's table, he can tell something is different. They finally talk, after what feels like forever, and decide they should meet more often. That by itself is surprising and new for their dynamic but what comes next that is even more unexpected and well, you know Hob Gadling, stupidly curious, death defying, big fan of surprises and a welcomer of new things.
