Y si bien en un inicio las cosas parecen ir mal entre Christine y Erik, siendo consciente la primera de que más allá de la música, parecen no compartir absolutamente nada con su maestro y que este no la conoce en lo más mínimo, las cosas dan un giro espectral. Christine comenzará a darse cuenta de que la voluntad salvaje del fantasma es algo que terminará por arrastrarla a su amor y ver las cosas de distinta perspectiva.
