Rain soaked them to the bone, and the wind screamed like some beast from the stories his mother used to tell. Joffrey whimpered beside him, his small feet slipping on the slick cobblestones, but Luke pulled him forward, refusing to stop.
“Bastards! Find them!” The shouts of the City Watch echoed behind them, close, too close. Luke shoved Joffrey into a shadowed alcove, his own chest heaving as he pressed his shaking hand over his brother’s mouth.
“Be brave,” he whispered, not feeling too brave himself.
