He freezes in place, grin faltering as he stares at the group in front of him. Marshal Hunter, Kip, a woman Shane doesn’t know off the top of his head… and Ilya fucking Rozanov.

When they were seventeen, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov had formed a drifting bond that keeps them coming back to one another as they become rivals in the eyes of the Jaeger world. Then, Boston Raider goes down in a drop and Ilya disappears for almost six years. Shane is forced to step up, and silently crumbles under the weight until Scott Hunter takes over and the program is given one last chance to fight.
Only, Ilya Rozanov reappears in Hong Kong, causing Shane's life to once again be shattered into pieces. Now Shane and Ilya have to reconnect in the drift, after years apart. The only thing is, does Ilya still feel the same bond Shane does?

This is the canonical storyline if Fukuzawa accepted Fukuchi's plea to join the war efforts. The war drags on as he doesn't assassinate the leaders to end it. He never meets Ranpo, and the Armed Detective Agency was never founded. Ranpo ends up working with Oda when he realized he can't be left alone due to attempts at his life. They end up joining the port mafia where they quickly rise in ranks.

There’s a stream running down to the ocean he never seen before, that as they approach and the hum of water grows louder, transforms into shallow pool with spring at the center, sprinkling upwards like a town’s fountain, or maybe more accurately, a reversed waterfall, and dowsing the strewn with eyebrights earth in its spray. Large, flat oval rocks scattered all around are damp, glistening, pearlescent white and shimmering in a whole spectrum of soft pastels. A faint mist gathers just at the edge of those plates, a curtain obscuring the stage before the main actor takes it.
And there they are.Partially concealed by the veil of water particles making it look as if the pure pearls of dew adorn their body, Nika stands in the middle, somehow more aglow than ever before, and with the earthy scent of moist soil they instantly appear as morning incarnate in Zoro’s mind. Divine. Ethereal. Absolutely breathtaking.
Nearly drowned by the sudden storm, Zoro finds himself stranded far away from his crew and captain, on an island in the middle of nowhere where a certain god resides.
An escape might be impossible, and not because of deity’s whims.
