It’s getting to that point in the night where the alcohol feels like it’s lighting him up from the inside, glowing underneath his skin, and he’s starting to think he’s even more invincible than usual. And, Majima figures, someone that swaggers around Kamurocho in nothing but a blazer and skin-tight leather pants has gotta feel pretty fucking invincible already.
But even then, he’s never let himself think too hard about the way Kiryu looks at him sometimes, after a long, knuckle-bruising fight, skin slick, chest heaving, pupils dark with something he can’t quite pick out; the way Kiryu’s gaze catches on the corner of his mouth, when Majima runs a tongue over the blood on his bottom lip, staring for longer than anyone’s ever had the guts to; the way Kiryu grunts, low and rough from the back of his throat, when Majima’s hand is on his neck and Majima’s knee wedged between his thighs.

Daigo looked beautiful bent over the arm of the couch with his ass raised up in the air. Out loud, Mine would never say that he looked pathetic, but with the way he arched his back, head hanging off the couch and drooling on the floor, he did. And it was breathtakingly gorgeous, just as gorgeous as when he was put together and perfectly charming. Maybe even more so.

Everyone deserves privacy. But he doesn’t hear any protest. Only a low hum, not quite approving, but maybe conceding.

No, he realizes that what he wants is to follow his chairman during his date to assure his safety. And if he has to see him in a compromising position to make really sure there is no threat to his life at all, it doesn't bother him. Actually... he likes the idea. Summary
Tiredness, that had to be it. The frustration of being ambushed over and over again for what felt like weeks but couldn’t be, the ceaseless fighting that was fun but so so tiring, and all that chasing leading up to this, some random moment of what he categorized as weakness, pulling none of its punches and making him comply against his better judgment.
The alley breathed around them like something heavy, like an animal, shadows and light warping the walls into shapes that were hard to look at.

Ryoma had a goal when joining the Shinsengumi. He was there for a reason. Not to form friendships and especially not to catch feelings. Then again, how could he have prepared himself for the whirlwind that was Okita Soji? It was an odd thing, this strange connection he felt to Okita. There was an undeniable magnetism between them right from the start.
