Summary
Crowley had Aziraphale over weeks ago and hadn’t been able to offer him anything except a kitchen stool and some leftover shepherd’s pie. His own flat has never been anything other than a place to keep his plants, sleep, and waste time when he was between jobs or get-togethers with Aziraphale - he didn’t have so much as a throw to offer him.
Demons didn’t nest. Angels and birds did, but demons didn’t, really. It wasn’t done. Nests are home and comfortable - the antithesis of demons everywhere. They could; the instinct is still there, just like the wings they still have.
But they don’t.
Crowley, though. He’s never much cared for tradition.
Sitting in the backseat of the Bentley and staring out the window, he murmured, “Never been a very good demon though, have I? What’s an itty-bitty nest compared to taking a stand against Satan themselves?”

It’s not even like it’s a huge deal either way.
Like, if you’re a vampire, you don’t have to suck blood; it’s just nice, like, really fucking awesome.
If you’re a were, you don’t have to change with the moon; Eddie’s just been told it’s kinda like he feels about indulging in a vein-snack: the pleasure is insane, the freedom unmatched. Among families, you were a member of a pack before you did or didn’t wake up on your birthday with the urge to form a new one; same as there’s legislation for turning family among lone vampires, including a lot of fucking paperwork and psych evaluations and rigorous exploration of consent—mostly the whole thing’s just not anybody’s be-all-and-end-all. Vamps can fuck mortals. Wolves can marry regular humans. They can live together, be together, have families. It’s…whatever.
Except when it gets to vampires. And werewolves. As in: with werewolves. Like, when it’s a conversation about both. Where they occur…together.
That’s a whole other story.

“Sinclair,” Steve narrows in on the here and now; specifically the here, and the only reason he’d be caught dead in this building again, ever. “I got a phone call,” Steve hadn’t even answered it himself, the main desk staff had; left him a post-it on his desk to come back from making coffee to find, stomach dropping, glad he hadn’t so much as taken a sip of his drink yet, lest it have soured and come up on him for the spear of sheer fucking fear in him at the message, because it had no details, no context, and he didn’t fucking know—
“Is she alright?”
The secretary looks down at a folder on her desk, pursing her lips.
“You’re,” she traces a line on the paperwork with a polished nail: “Mr. Munson?”
Which stops Steve short with a heavy thump of his pulse that shakes him full enough to rock him forward on his feet.
“...I’m?”
Which is not a complete sentence, or an actual response that means anything, but in Steve’s head, in his heart?
There are so many ways to finish it.

“Took a bit of a tumble, I’m afraid,” Aziraphale said. “But, well. What’s done is done.”
“What’s done - ?”
“Now that I’m no longer beholden to a rather arbitrary moral code, I have to ask: Do you pay taxes? Actually, more importantly, do you think I can stop paying taxes now? That seems like a sufficiently demonic thing to do. Refusing to do my civic duty and whatnot. Quite devious, I’d argue.”
This was, in hindsight, not the most sensitive way of breaking the news.

On the one hand Steve likes sex and the other hand he really, really, really likes having sex with Eddie.
Eddie seems to agree, gasps and writhes and sings Steve’s praises as soon as he’s caught his breath. He gets this smile sometimes, when he’s looking at Steve, small and half-secret, eyes so full of affection that Steve feels bigger on the inside, like his lungs and his heart and all the other mushy bits inside him are swelling up and his skeleton is stretching to accommodate them. And that isn’t just when they’re doing it, either, it happens other times too, like when they’re brushing their teeth together in the teeny-tiny trailer bathroom or playing air hockey at the arcade.
So it’s not that he’s worried about liking sex with Eddie because he’s a guy, that’s not what’s stuck in Steve’s head like a popcorn kernel jammed between his molars.
