Summary
In an alternate timeline, a young Giyuu Tomioka is sent to a forgotten village to eliminate a demon that has been hunting in the region. Unbeknownst to him, this demon is the same one that would later turn Shizu—Sanemi's mother— into a demon. By stopping the demon, Giyuu changes the fate of the Shinazugawa family. In gratitude, Shizu invites him into her home, unaware that this small gesture will save many lives... and leave a mark on the heart of the future Wind Pillar.

This is one of the best stories I've read that so effectively portrays Lily Evans; I love it because she's so human. Everything is so well developed, it's wow...
In the canon, we only saw her through the eyes of other characters—and there were very few of them—but she's always portrayed as a saint and highly idealized.
It's... such a shame we never got to know what she's really like.On the other hand, I love how the relationship between Severus and Lily develops; I love how neither of them is perfect and how they really strive to be better. I almost never read Snily fanfiction because the main problem I see is that only one person puts effort into the relationship, while the other is portrayed as perfection incarnate.
But not here! and I like that! I think this is exactly how a Snily story should be written.
