“Why’re you here?” Atsushi asked absently, his dull eyes flickering over to stare blankly at Riddle. Maybe he was right to be worried after all.
“Why else but to care for you?” Riddle replied as he dabbed the back of his hand on Atsushi’s forehead and cheeks. Far too hot for just a minor fever. He pursed his lips.
“I don’t know…”
Riddle is anxious when he found that Atsushi wasn’t in school one day. Upon finding out he was sick, emergency measures are in order. (He goes to his dorm and cares for him.)

Summary
Nendou was a conundrum, a thing that broke laws in biology a person shouldn’t. He was someone that should have been squashed out years ago during natural selection. And Saiki’s least favourite trait about him was his thoughtlessness when it came to physical contact.
Saiki was his first friend at PK, so it started with him, then bled out to the others. Wrapping an arm around his shoulders, manhandling him with unintentional carelessness, and occasionally even ruffling his hair.
Saiki… didn’t know if he liked it or not.
All his life, Saiki hated touch. He hated when his family touched him, so it isn’t any different when it comes to his friends. It can’t be.

Atsushi knew he wasn’t wanted or needed in this world. The stone cold metal gates of the Orphanage gate towered far over his head, leaving the knowledge that he wasn’t wanted and a blatant lie inches from his face. He’d been told that they’d kicked him out because they were low on funds- that there would be one less unimportant mouth to feed. That was a lie.
Atsushi Nakajima was the Tiger.
Long before meeting Dazai at the river, Atsushi already knew he was the vessel for a Tiger ability. What started off as a leap of faith saving a bandaged man at the river turned into something much bigger than him. All he knew is that he didn’t want to die.

Atsushi wiedział, że nie był ani chciany, ani potrzebny na tym świecie. Zimna, metalowa oraz kamienna brama do sierocińca nie dająca mu spokoju, pozostawiając wyłącznie świadomość, że był niechciany, a kłamstwo było marne centymetry od jego twarzy. Oznajmniono mu, że został wyrzucnony z powodu braku środków na utrzymanie- że będzie o jedną mordę mniej do wykarmienia. Było to nic innego niż zwykłe kłamstwo.
Atsushi Nakajima był Tygrysem.
Atsushi wiedział, że jest uzdolniony. Długo przed tym, zanim poznał Dazai'a. To, co zaczyna się jako skok na ratunek zabandażowanemu nieznajomemu, przeradza się w coś, co go przerosło. Wiedział jedynie to, że nie chciał zginąć.
